Adnan Bhanpuri is the co-owner of Treehouse Pediatric Therapy with two clinics in the western suburbs of Chicago. Adnan has an undergraduate degree in Finance from University of Illinois (1996) and an MBA in International Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago (2005). He worked in structured finance markets (yes I helped cause the 2008 recession) from 1996 through 2011 creating mortgage backed securities and other exotic financial instruments. Instead of hurting people through investment banking, Adnan has transitioned to helping people in the pediatric therapy world. And has never looked back.
In 2012, Adnan followed his passion to be an entrepreneur and opened Treehouse with his wife Iymen, a pediatric PT, in 2012. They started Treehouse on their own with no outside funding offering PT, OT, and SLP services on a part-time basis while raising two young children. In 2020, Treehouse added ABA services and in 2024 added Counseling. We are aiming to become the go-to multidisciplinary clinic for families in the Chicagoland area. We are looking to grow our company to 3 or 4 clinics in the next few years with or without outside equity.
Adnan and Lyman have a 21 year old daughter who is a senior at the University of Illinois and an 18-year old son who will be a freshman at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Both our children have watched us grow this business from nothing and have become confident and comfortable thinking outside the box, which is the best outcome we could have hoped for in raising kids.

Born and raised in Alabama, I discovered my passion for occupational therapy as a teenager, with a particular focus on pediatrics. After nearly 20 years of practicing in both adult and pediatric settings, I decided to pursue the freedom and flexibility of entrepreneurship. I founded Ability Resources to fulfill that dream, and four years later, I merged my business with a speech therapy practice to form Child’sPlay Therapy Center. Over time, we expanded our offerings to include physical therapy and mental health counseling. What began as a small practice grew into a thriving organization with four clinic locations, a staff of over 80, and partnerships with numerous public school systems in the area. In October 2020, we sold Child’sPlay Therapy Center, and I committed to serving as executive director for three years. This transitional period gave me the opportunity to reflect on my next chapter. I discovered that I had a passion for supporting therapy practice owners, helping them succeed, and guiding them to avoid the challenges I faced while celebrating their victories. Coaching private practice owners has been a fulfilling and natural progression in my career since stepping away from practice ownership. Outside of my professional life, I am married and the proud mom of two amazing adult children. I’m also “Bibi” to my beautiful twin granddaughters, adopted from Burundi in 2017. My happiest moments are spent with my family, traveling, or curling up with a good book alongside my long-haired dachshund, Sully.

Kim Hazelton is a seasoned Pediatric Occupational Therapist with over 30 years of experience helping children thrive. Before entering the therapy world, she earned an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and spent a decade working in banking and small business while returning to school and supporting her military husband through multiple relocations.
In 2010, she founded Sense Able Brain Pediatric Therapy in the Tampa Bay area, building a practice rooted in service and passion. For nearly a decade, she ran it like a mission in disguise — until a pivotal mindset shift helped her realize that a therapy practice is not just a mission, but a mission-driven business. With mentorship from Brandon Seigel, she began applying the same strategic principles she once used in business and banking to her growing therapy clinic.
What started as a simple spreadsheet to track key numbers evolved into a full-fledged practice management system. Over time, she refined it into TheraPilot — a comprehensive suite of tools including a KPI Tracker & Dashboard, Front Office Dashboard, and Hiring Calculator. These tools empower therapy practice owners to set clear goals, track meaningful metrics, and make informed decisions that drive sustainable success.
Since 2022, she has helped fellow clinician-owners implement TheraPilot to gain clarity, confidence, and control in their businesses. Her own practice has steadily grown in team size and revenue, her personal earnings have reached multiple six figures, and she now enjoys greater freedom to do more of what she loves: helping other practice owners keep their doors open and their missions alive.

To date, Nina has successfully helped over 300 pediatric therapists secure positions that align with their goals. She’s known for her values-based interview style, ensuring that both clinician and employer priorities are thoughtfully aligned for long-term success.
Nina may be a pro at offer negotiations, but even the trickiest salary talks are a cake walk compared to snack-time standoffs with her two young daughters. When she’s off the clock, she teams up with her husband to referee between two glitter-drenched Elsa impersonators and a pair of mischievous rescue frenchies – all who have active PIPs in place. Despite the chaos, the household boasts a 100% retention rate.
